July 2nd, its my last day at the orphanage. For personal reasons, I have to go to Thailand tomorrow.. I had such great time with the kids.. I already miss them.. It has been so easy and fast to get attached to them, they are so pure, so innocent, they are beautiful little souls !
I have a surprise for them today when they will come back from school.. I bought 45 news school backpacks .. they are going to school with torn, used bags..I could not stand to see that every morning..
My week has been busy, I went 2 days to Pokhara, to see the Annapurnas mountains, I did not have a chance to do a trek.. I was supposed to go with a group of volunteers, but I had to leave to spend the last 2 days with the kids.. the trip was short, but it was worth it, I had the chance to see almost all the ranges of the annapurnas mountains and take pictures..The weather was very good but very hot.. I saw some fantastic landscapes from the bus. the bus crossed 3 army stoppings, not really fun !
What did I learn here ? Well, never mix poverty and misery, you can be the poorest person on earth but the happiest too.. I learnt to give more but also to receive .. I saw people having nothing but giving a lot.. I learnt to be humble in front of those little kids, they really impressed me.. I lived sometimes in bad conditions ( no running water, no electricity, strikes, injuries), but I had the best time ever in my life..

Je ne suis pas très bavarde mais je te suis pas à pas (même si le serveur du boulot bloque l'accès à ton blog et que je ne peux le consulter que depuis la maison)... vraiment, on a l'impression que tout est facile pour toi là bas ! que tu as fait ça toute ta vie et que comme tu le dis, on dirait que tu t'épanouis vraiment ! Je suis vraiment contente pour toi et j'ai très hâte de voir tes photos lorsque nous viendrons te voir à SF en septembre.
J'imagine que les aux revoirs avce les enfants vont être très douloureux, alors, je te souhaite quand même un bon voyage vers la Thaïlande et je t'envoie pleins de gros bisous !
